Heritage Aquitaine Rouge
Wine
Juniper Estate Heritage Aquitaine Rouge is made with a base of old vine Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Malbec, and small portions of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
Each variety of this Bordeaux inspired blend is sourced from the dry grown estate vineyard in Margaret River. The fruit is handpicked in several batches and cold soaked.
Fermentation takes place in a mix of hand plunged open fermenters and pumped over closed fermenters. The wine then matures for 18 months in one third new French oak barrels.
Deep red, Juniper Estate Heritage Aquitaine Rouge is medium bodied with an array of fruit characters, dusty tannins and lingering complexity. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
